Overview of the Proposed Ordinances

Ordinance 1: Zoning Reform for Housing Affordability

This ordinance focuses on updating Callaway’s outdated zoning laws to allow more flexibility in how land is developed. The goal is to encourage the construction of affordable housing and mixed-use developments to meet the needs of our growing population, without adding unnecessary restrictions that drive up costs.

Ordinance 2: Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure Improvement

This ordinance aims to improve Callaway’s infrastructure by leveraging public-private partnerships (PPPs). This will allow us to fix roads, upgrade water systems, and address other infrastructure issues more quickly and cost-effectively, without relying solely on taxpayer funding or raising taxes.

• Prioritizes fixing roads, improving water systems, and upgrading drainage to prepare for future growth.
